Annabelle Sami is a writer, performer and arts producer based in London.

For children, Annabelle has written diverse mystery stories (Agent Zaiba Investigates) ‘anarchically silly fun’ comedy (Llama Out Loud, Guardian) and funny fantasy books (Dreamweavers). Llama Out Loud was longlisted for the Blue Peter Book Award, shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize, who wrote, ‘Sami constructs her story with flawless comic timing’ and won the Spark! Book Award 2020. Annabelle’s core mission in all her work is to empower children and young people, and to give children of colour, characters they can relate to,

Annabelle has a BA in English and Drama, and completed her MA in English Literature from Queen Mary University in 2018. Since then she has been working as a producer for theatre, film and live art as well as running creative workshops for children and teenagers. She also writes poetry, essays and opinion pieces.

She is represented by Davinia Andrew-Lynch at Curtis Brown.
